8th Grade Graduation & Banquet Meeting

Hello to all 8th grade students and parents!!! I know it seems early in the year to be thinking about this subject, but just having gone through it I realize how much time and cooperative effort goes into this big event!!!

I will hold a meeting for ALL 8th grade students and their families on Thursday, September 18th at 6:30 at Raymond School in the small gym.  We will be discussing and have sign-up sheets for both parents and students for the following:

1.  Fundraising committee: coming up with ideas to raise money.
2.  Dances: Arrange location, dates, d.j.’s, refreshments, and chaperones.
3.  Caledonia Ditch Clean-up:  This is a yearly civic commitment by the 8th grade class
4.  Class Gift: Needs to be discussed what gift should be.
5.  Graduation:  PowerPoint presentation, decorations, flowers, speaker, refreshments, ect..
6.  Banquet:  Location, flowers, decorations, memory photos, d.j., ect…
7. 8th grade student involvement: Surveys regarding: flowers, motto, music, colors, dress code, ect…

Student Voice and participation is very important in all discussions and decision making for this event. This is our children’s last year at Raymond so ALL families are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in this important moment in their lives.  Let’s help them enjoy and remember this year!!

See you Thursday Sept. 18th at 6:30.  Call me if any questions or if you would like to help me head up this great event!  Mums for our 8th grade funds are already being sold in the front lobby of the school!! Encourage friends and family to buy them from our class!! Pay in office!
